Roger Gray
Principal Driver: Roger Gray
Some people are born to race and that is definitely true of Roger Gray. He grew up in racing-his whole family has competed in one form or another. Every since he can remember, Roger has planned to have a professional career in racing.

Starting with go-karts at the age of 10, Roger won his first championship when he was 12. At 16 he graduated to high-speed road-racing karts, continuing his winning ways at California and Nevada tracks, including Laguna Seca and Sears Point. Not content with just kart racing, Gray also built a 1972 Datsun 510 with a small block Chevrolet V-8 to campaign at the ¼ mile drag races.
Leaving the kart world when he turned 17, Roger moved into off-road racing, competing in a two-seat buggy. He next graduated to a full-sized Chevrolet Blazer where he set about making his presence known, scoring a number of top finishes racing with his dad, Bob, and cousin Chris. Scoring numerous top finishes, Roger next moved into Pro Class 8 driving a Chevrolet pickup with Chris.
Extremely ambitious and very serious about his racing career, Roger is thrilled to be driving the new state-of-the-art 2006 Chevrolet Silverado Trophy Truck in the high-profile SCORE® International and Best In The Desert races.
Off the track Roger maintains his physical condition through all manner of outdoor activities, believing that staying in top shape is a must if you really want to do well in off-roading.
Roger will campaign the new 2006 Chevrolet Silverado Trophy Truck in the high profile SCORE® International and Best In The Desert races.

Bob Gray
Team Owner: Bob Gray
All his life, Bob Gray has raced anything that moves. Starting with ¼ midgets at the age of 11, Bob built a number of midgets and go-karts that he drove at various race tracks. When 15 he graduated to ¼ mile drag races where he campaigned self-built vehicles to numerous class wins, in addition to driving cars for other owners.
Bob has continued to race a wide variety of cars, formula V's, go-karts, boats and motorcycles while also active in sky-diving, scuba diving and skiing. After making a few trips to Baja he decided to try off-road racing and the rest is history. Over the past 30 years Bob has driven buggies, sedans, full and mini sized trucks and motorcycles in events in California, Oregon, Nevada, Arizona, Mexico and France.Throughout his off-road racing activities his whole family has participated. During the early years Bob's wife would co-drive in short course races, desert races and rallies, while his children helped out in the pits. All three children wanted to drive off-road race cars from a very early age.
In the mid-1980's SCORE® International approached Gray's Phoenix Racing Team to field an entry in the newly introduced “Baja Safari” class. This class was created to promote off-road racing to would-be drivers with a limited budget and minimal off-road driving experience. Bob constructed a vehicle to be driven by two 16-year old drivers—his daughter Lisa and nephew Christopher—in the inaugural 1985 event. Two years later they placed in the top five with a team-built vehicle driven by Lisa, younger daughter Tanya, and Chris.
Bob took a five-year hiatus from racing to establish his own business in the electronics industry. The team returned to off-road racing with a full size Blazer driven by Bob, his son Roger and Chris. After two years in this class the team purchased a Pro Class 8 Chevrolet pickup which was driven by Roger and Chris to numerous top five finishes, class wins, the 2000 & 2001 class championships, and a 2001 overall championship.
Bob will co-drive in the new 2006 Chevrolet Silverado Trophy Truck being driven by his son Roger in the high profile SCORE® International and Best In The Desert races.
